on rage
this is a fuck everyone who has wronged me post no free promotion you know who you are and no i am not beating these mean girl allegations; this rage is my fuel
Calling out caste exploitative behavior online is not perfect
But it is productive
To Our survival
our politicization of the personal
Is not based on perfect
New age spirituality gaslights us into thinking..
That it’s inherent aggression is very unproductive, so forget perfect
Anger is destructive and polarizing and divisive and conniving and aggressive
It’s hatred
It’s bullying
It’s betraying the oath of my manufactured consent towards silence
It’s exposing you radical anti caste imaging for its Brahminical roots
It’s ruining the performance of being unlike other Brahmins
Rage is how we naturally respond to the insidious ways in which your attitude towards us is built on micro aggressive projections of your guilt
Brahminical fragility is built on reproducing intergenerational Bahujan trauma
You built this anger baby
You hand crafted that shit
With every defensive outburst
With every stolen accessory justified
With every “I hate my own community” too
With every dismissal of accountability
With every “but I agree with everything you say”
With every suicidal threat (don’t tempt me maami)
Jotiba Phule articulated how his hatred is not towards Brahmins but Brahminism,
But guess which demographic is staunchly adamant on upholding Brahminism?
Guess which demographic feels the most “attacked “ when pointing out internalized Brahminism?
I mean, calling out. Publicly.
“Bro can we please talk out whatever is wrong”
How much Bahujan labour is required for you all to become self reflective ?
If I teach this man to fish he will monopolize the pond and put a fence around it as private property.
And now I must teach the man how to unlearn the exploitative behavior too?
What more do you expect but anger? Rage? A romanticization of your demise is so invitable..
So what if it is divisive? those were therms you created and now we must be the graceful ones to be accepted as intellectuals and credible and worthy of your institutional, socio-economic resource built on divisiveness
Stop intellectualizing your anger
And yet The anger comes from the contextualization of pain and exclusion
And the rage, the full ness of it all- in all its abusive psycho manic crazy insane manifestations - the rage is the most honest display of the anger
I love roast culture, i love call out culture, i love the way it exposes everything pushed under the rug simply in reaction to denying my accusations and demands.
I love how the private surveillanced internet still has liminal spaces to drag bitches and have them quiver in fear. This is often as productive as reclaiming power Can get.
Show me another non carceral approach, where abuse apologism isn’t disguised as transformative Justice, where respectability politics isn’t propagated as harm reduction before you police me for how I express my rage.
How dare you push me to swim in poisoned water ?
How dare you push me to fish in a barren lake?
After I told you that the water is how I survived?
To be angry is the most human response to such injustice.
To expect perfection is not productive, neither for your accountability nor for my healing.
Nor for my survival.
After all, the fear of cancel culture is built on the belief in the illusion that publicizing abuse online will result in consequences for the perpetrator- that they will somehow comply to a set of demands to acknowledge and address their maintenance of oppressive systems. They will not. More often they disappear and reappear with therapy speaks and new age spirituality to double down on why peace is more productive than liberation.
And it is holding onto rage that will prevent me from accepting the former for the latter.
